My Platform

If elected Lorain County Commissioner, my top three priorities are:

I will bring back trust and integrity to the Commissioners' office. In every position that I have ever held I have worked hard to gain the trust of my peers and associates. Building relationships with trust discloses your integrity and I would take the same approach as Commissioner.

I will listen to the citizens of Lorain County and do my best to take the action needed to achieve success for their issues. I believe I am a leader and will present myself as such. To be a good leader you not only have to talk the talk, but walk the walk. An effective leader knows how to motivate and work together with people to achieve common goals.

In any situation where you are working with different personalities the art of collaboration has to be used for equitable solution.

ENERGY & ECONOMIC GROWTH

I will work hard to safeguard and strengthen our local infrastructure by obtaining any available aid or government grants. We need to be vigilant with inspecting our energy system and make improvements where needed, so climate stress does not cause grid failure. The County needs to explore the benefits of solar, wind, and battery storage as an alternative energy solution. If involvement with clean energy can be economical it will produce jobs and revenue. Our county's geographical location, as well as our available workforce, are existing benefits to business. Our grants to improve our telecommunications, county airport, roads, bridges as well as to explore mass transit would help create opportunities to attract new business and keep existing business.

DIVERSITY

Lorain County is a diverse community, and that is something to celebrate. I already have the hands on experience from my previous position on diversity. I will bring that experience to Lorain County to promote inclusion and fight against discrimination in all its forms. In order to attain racial and social equality, there needs to be open communication among all community groups. I will work with groups and organizations that currently exist and listen to the people's concerns and enact change. We cannot simply continue to allow a few ideologies to set set policy for the one's on advantage.

BUSINESS
I will work to create a business-friendly environment that supports all businesses and encourages entrepreneurship. We need our LOCAL workforce doing LOCAL work within the County.

SAFETY

The safety of our citizens and safety forces are a top priority. I will work closely with all safety forces to ensure the have the proper equipment they need to keep themselves and the citizens of Lorain County safe and protected.
